Youth Camps

 

KidsCamp

A 9 week summer day camp program for children age 6-9 years old in which participants take part in a variety of activities including arts & crafts, sports, games, drama, cooking, field trips and more.  9 weekly sessions are offered with both full day and half day options available.  KidsCamp runs out of the McKinleyville Activity Center adjacent to Pierson Park.

Pre-registration is required.

Registration opens the first business day in May each year.

 

Tween Camp

Similar to KidsCamp, but for children age 10-12 years old.  Tween Camp offers more challenging and exciting activities for older children.  Tween camp shares facilities with KidsCamp at times and coordinates all field trips and guest presentations with KidsCamp as well.  9 weekly sessions are offered with both full day and half day options available.

Breakout

Breakout is a day camp program offered during school vacation days.  Open to children age 6-12 years old, participants engage in a variety of activities including arts & crafts, sports, games, and more.  Full day and half day options are available. Breakout runs out of the McKinleyville Activity Center adjacent to Pierson Park

Breakout is typically held during the following school vacations:

«     Thanksgiving Break:  Monday-Wednesday

«     Winter Break:  at least one week (sometimes two) Monday-Friday

«     President’s Week Break:  Monday-Friday

«     Spring Break:  Monday-Friday
