Leader-in-Training (LIT) Program

The LIT program is open to anyone age 13 years and older.  Leaders in training are volunteers who assist our Recreation Leaders at KidsCamp, Tween Camp, Breakout and KidsClub.  Leaders-in-Training are assigned to work directly with a group leader who serves as a mentor and assists in the development of skills related to working in a summer day camp and recreation program setting.  Typical duties include assisting in planning and implementing group activities such as sports, games, arts, crafts, etc; leading and teaching assigned activities to a group of up to twelve children while under the supervision of the group leader; and assisting the group leader with supervision of participants.  LIT’s earn valuable work and leadership skills in a fun and supportive environment

Contact our office at 839-9003 for more information about becoming an LIT.

Training seminars for LIT’s are held in June of each year.
