Leader-In-Training (LIT) Program

Teens age 13-18 may apply for this fun and unique work experience program.  The LIT program runs in conjunction with the Kids' Camp Summer Day Camp.  LIT's assist program leaders with a variety of activities for children age 5-12 years old.  LIT's gain on the job training in leadership, planning, communication and more.  Application packets may be dowloaded from the link below and are also available at the MCSD Parks and Recreation office on Sutter Rd.

Fastbreak Fridays

DATE:            Fridays (ongoing)

TIME:            7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

LOCATION:    McKinleyville Activity Center

AGES:           13-17 year olds 

FEE:              $1  

Youth Driven - Saturday Nights

McKinleyville Parks & Recreation’s Activity Center is open to all youth in 6th - 12th grades on Saturday Nights from 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm. Theme activities will be offered every week.

In addition to theme activities, Youth Driven ALWAYS has video games, board games, snacks, music and a place to just "hang-out" with your friends.

This program is sponsored by McKinleyville Kiwanis and McKinleyville Parks & Recreation.

FEE:               FREE!

GRADES:        6th - 12th Graders

LOCATION:     Mck Activity Center

3 on 3 Basketball League

Join us on Thursday evenings at the Activity Center for this fun and exciting Adult 3 on 3 Basketball League! All games are half court and self-officiated. Team rosters may include 3 to 8 players. Registration deadline is Monday, March 15, 2010.

DATES:        Thursdays, March 18 - May 13

TIME:           6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

LOCATION:   McKinleyville Activity Center

AGES:          16 years & older

FEE:             $60.00 per team
