The McKinleyville Parks and Recreation Master Plan is getting a much needed update and re-write.  Public input is crucial to this update.  Please help by completing the Community Questionnaire.  Links to a downloadable version and online version can be found HERE.

The McKinleyville Community Services District (MCSD) General Manager, Greg Orsini, graciously offered to be the target of pies in the face to raise money for Toys for Tots. Employees of MCSD paid $20 for an opportunity to toss a pie in their boss’s face. All proceeds of the event will go to Toys for Tots. Our “sweetie pie” GM challenges other local managers/executives to take one to the face to help support their favorite charity during this holiday season.

Registration is now open for the 2018 Youth Basketball League.  The registration deadline is December 1st, 2017. All registration accepted after December 1st will be with a late fee and only if spots are available in the division.  Please register early! McKinleyville Parks & Recreation Department is sponsoring a Middle School dance on Friday, November 17, 2017, from 7:00 p.m. through 9:30 p.m. at the Activity Center for Humboldt County’s 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th Grade students. 

McKinleyville Parks & Recreation’s Teen & Community Center is open to all youth in 6th - 12th grades on Saturday Nights from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm.  Come check it out to listen to music and play pool, ping pong, foosball and videogames, or shoot some hoops and hang out with your friends!
