Statewide Emergency Water Conservation Regulation starting August 1st!

Printer-friendly version

The California State Water Resources Control Board has implemented an emergency water conservation regulation.  The information that we have received is available for you to review at the links below.

The regulation prohibits the following:

  • The direct application of potable water to driveways and sidewalks
  • Watering of outdoor landscapes that cause runoff to adjacent property, non-irrigated areas, private and public walkways, roadways, parking lots and structures
  • Using a hose to wash a motor vehicle, unless the hose is fitted with a shut-off nozzle
  • Using potable water in a fountain or decorative water feature, unless the water is recirculated.

Please be aware of your water use habits, and where you are able, reduce the amount of water you use!
