Hello and Welcome to McKinleyville Community Services District (MCSD)

When people ask me what McKinleyville is all about, I tell them that it is about people and relationships.  After all, without community support and our regional partnerships, we are limited in what we, as McKinleyville Community Services District, can achieve. 

I have always been inspired by those who are dedicated to affect positive change in the community and embrace the concept that helping one another and building relationships and trust are the most rewarding paths to success.

It is easy to overlook these basic fundamental concepts in a complex and technical environment such as ours.

The staff who work for us and stakeholders who partner with us determine the difference between mediocrity and excellence. 

I recognize that diverse views and opinions will always exist.  However, without a shared commitment and focus on what is in the best interest of the community, and individual dedication, achieving success can be a challenge. 

Looking to the future, I am thankful for our Board of Directors and staff who are passionate about what they do and firmly believe in one another.

All of us at MCSD are committed to furthering partnerships to better serve you and to provide the highest quality and timely services in the most cost effective manner. 

How is McKinleyville Community Services District governed?

MCSD is governed by a five-member publicly elected Board of Directors.  Each member is elected to a four-year term, with terms overlapping.  The Board of Directors develops the policies of the District.  The District General Manager is appointed by the Board of Directors and oversees the day-to-day operations of the District.

When are the regularly scheduled Board meetings?

The regularly scheduled Board Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at Azalea Hall, 1620 Pickett Road, McKinleyville, California at 7:00 P.M. and are open to the public.  Your participation and input can make a positive impact on our community, so please contact us about ideas or issues important to you.
