As part of this scheduled maintenance, we also inspect grease traps of the businesses that require them to verify they are in compliance with our regulation regarding regular removal of this grease.
à WWMF Maintenance:
The perimeter fence and all gates have been replaced with 8’ black vinyl coated chain link. This ongoing project was conducted over a three year period of time.
à Wet Weather Flow Monitoring:
Every three years operations conducts sewer flow monitoring. The data collected from strategic locations in the collection system during wet weather is compared to dry weather data to facilitate in the location of inflow and infiltration. This data will also be uses in modeling the collection system for planning purposes and to indicate areas of the system that will need to be upgraded. As part of this monitoring, problem manholes are located and chemical grouting of these manholes is conducted.
à Sewer Lift Station Maintenance:
As part of the Districts scheduled maintenance the sewer pump impeller to wear plate clearances are checked and adjusted. This item improves the efficacy of the pumps, saving money on electricity and pumping down the wet wells faster. During high flow events, this helps prevent sewer overflows from the lift stations.
